I am here 9.6 years as well. Come to think of it, that's quite a long time. Many of us went through quite a bit of changes in life. Myself, started posting here when I was still finishing college, and now been through like 3 job changes.
That's one part of the reasons for the decline of this site, because people grow up and leave the site due to changes in interests. The other reasons we already know: neglect of the site owners; and the decline of the PC hardware enthusiasm. The number of people interested in building their own system has steadily declined as the smart phones / tablets industries are getting more enormous. Now you can't go anywhere without seeing a tablet or a phone with touch interface in people's hands. The same goes for the PC gaming industry, steady decline. Now a lot of the game developers have move on to the mobile platforms and to the new model of gaming business: in game sales and advertisement; a gold mine for profits.
With that said, however, I think to this day, this site remains to be a clean design in IT discussion forums and with actually knowledgeable contributors. Besides a few spammers, at least there aren't much forum trolls here, as I've seen getting rampant in other forums, owing largely to the decline in popularity here. And don't forget we are the old fashion people now, typing slowly in a PC for a post with educated / well thought out comments. Kids these days are getting more impatient and usually posting on forums utterly nonsenses in one liners with their mobile phones.
For Supreet, life is a roller coaster sometimes, but stay in there, you will get back up again in no time! Best of wishes for you.
